by Andres Mann

Tess and Jake face an unusual dilemma. Their adopted daughter Aara received a huge inheritance from Tess’s nemesis, the deceased Amir al-Saadi. The fortune comes with an unsettling condition: Aara must marry into a Muslim family within one year. Suddenly, Tess and Jake must assess whether such a condition is acceptable.

They meet with two Muslim families and end up in Istanbul so Aara can decide whether she wants to comply with the condition of the will. To complicate things, Amir’s sister Fadime is the trustee, and Laurent Belcour, the dissolute schemer, is now her secret lover. They crave the fortune for themselves and devise a plan to gain the upper hand. At the same time, Belcour is still seeking revenge against Tess and her team for foiling his evil plans in the past. He turns for help to ISIS, the jihadi extremist group now engaged in an existential struggle with Iraq and Syria. How will Tess and Jake meet these challenges?

Biography

Before I started writing fiction, I was an Army Officer and a business executive. My education includes degrees in Political Science and International Relations. I am a published author of three management books and various business articles.
I have been fortunate to meet remarkable people from all over the world, most of them good, others not so much. Some were extraordinarily talented, able to perform well in multiple endeavors. My novels are based on the actions of real people I have observed dealing with challenging situations. I believe that it is interesting to understand multi-faceted personalities that are fascinating and evil at the same time, making it difficult to make quick judgments about right and wrong.
Currently, I am following my passion by writing the Tess series of adventure novels.
Based on real contemporary events, the stories explore the challenges posed by international political developments and the issues that professional women face in today’s world. The setting of the stories starts with the second Gulf War in Iraq and continues up to the current era.
Action, intrigue, deceit, obsession, sensuality, the use of wealth to achieve one’s goals, the struggle between good and evil are a constant theme.
