Just how do you recover from infidelity in relationships? How do you recover from all the pain, hurt, and deceit of infidelity? What exactly do you do? Do you continue to swallow in your grief or do you take a stand in your brokenness in order that you will take a step forward into your life? Well the question is, will you allow yourself to forgive the one and only person you thought would always be there for you for the remaining of your relationship, the one that you trusted to love you unconditionally, and only you? The one that has eyes only for you, that will go beyond the boundaries just for you, your soul mate.
There are many reasons as to why infidelity occurs in a relationship but it is certainly not a proper step to make, it is not the answer to your problems or current situations. This only complicates matters worse by stepping out of the relationship by placing your confidence in the opposite sex other than your mate, this should not be. Many time’s we tend to want to take matters into our own hands without focusing on the reality of the consequences behind our choices or decisions.
About the Author
Mrs. Velma Bowman Cable is a native Mississippian and is a proud graduate of Callaway High School. She has gained several college hours in the field of Business Management from institutions like Hinds Jr. College, Draughon Business College, and Belhaven University. Velma is employed with the City of Jackson’s Police Department in the Crisis Intervention Unit. She has been married for 33 years to her high school sweetheart, Jeffrey J. Cable. They are the proud parents of two sons, Joshua (Monica Nicole-wife), Justin (Aisha Fatima-wife), and daughter Shawniqua.
They are blessed with four amazing grandchildren. Velma currently serves as the office administrator of WarCriers Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Joshua and Elder Monica Cable. In the year 2014, she accepted the call of God on her life. Her ministry is called “I Have a Voice Ministries” and the mission is to empower and give hope to women from all walks of life that have been broken, bruised, and abused to know that their lives and voices matter. It is imperative that the people of God know that the “silent mode” must be destroyed. It is time to be healed of the past and time to move forward into the destiny that God has purposed for His people. Cable feels it’s time to speak out boldly by motivating others to realize that there is life after storms.
This resulted in her learning that in every storm of her life there was a lesson to be learned; it guided her into becoming the best role model for other individuals and generations to come. As an ordinary and non-hypocritical person, she has always managed to turn a negative situation into something positive. She states, “The past is the past, and the future is waiting.” She and her family has experienced firsthand what it means to lose everything and she was determined not to see her family destroyed. This has stirred a sincere passion for marriages, families, homelessness and the poor in her heart. Effective prayer was the tool that she used to win her family back from the demonic strongholds. As a result, God has never left their family’s side. Her theme scriptures that support her in life are 2 Corinthians 10:4, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds” (KJV), and Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ, who strengtheneth me.” (KJV)Congratulations @bowman_cable for being an @Author of the Week at @AUTHORSWEEK!
